Bridging the Empathy Gap:
Training, Workshops and Co-Thinking Sessions

Creating sustainable, neurodiversity-affirming workplace cultures takes more than a quick fix. It asks for reflection, relationship, and sustained action.

We know from research that diverse teams are more innovative and productive. But diversity alone isn’t enough—we also need to understand how neurodivergent people communicate, process information, and experience the sensory world. And we need spaces to think together about how these differences show up in the workplace.

This is where co-thinking spaces come in—collaborative, reflective opportunities for managers, teams, and neurodivergent professionals to explore real-life questions like:

  • What helps you feel understood and supported at work?

  • How do our team dynamics impact who feels safe to show up as themselves?

  • What workplace practices unintentionally exclude people—and what could we do instead?

By making room for dialogue that centres lived experience, organisations move beyond tick-box inclusion toward meaningful change. Neurodivergent people are more likely to thrive when they’re supported by leaders and colleagues who understand how to create psychologically and sensory-safe environments—spaces where people can flourish, advocate for what they need, and show up as their whole selves.

While individual support can be valuable, lasting transformation happens in relationship. Disability Justice and intersectionality remind us that access is collective, not individual. So, developing equitable practices in the workplace means thinking together—unlearning biases, adapting spaces, shifting communication, and reimagining culture.
