Training and Workshops

I offer a range of training and workshops designed for leaders and managers committed to fostering meaningful cultural transformation. My aim is to equip participants with skills, knowledge, and strategies to work towards active and sustained change, creating neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive workplace environments.

Drawing on my dual qualifications as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner and experiences in Clinical Leadership and Operational Management roles, I understand the complexities and pressures faced by senior leadership.

As a neurodivergent person in work, I also understand the realities of working within systems that were not designed for neurodivergence, whilst simultaneously trying to meet the responsibilities of your job role and manage teams or run services.

Training can be tailored to align with your organisation’s goals and priorities, equipping you with practical strategies to lead by example.

Wellbeing Workshops

Duration - 2 hours

Wellbeing workshops focus specifically on neurodivergent wellbeing, for example, sensory preferences and energy accounting in the workplace. With a focus on enhancing your workplace wellbeing offer to meet the needs of neurodivergent team members, this workshop can be offered as an introductory, single session, or as part of a short series of workshops focused on wellbeing in more detail.​

Please note, Wellbeing Workshops can be adapted to be delivered on a 1-1 or small group basis, incorporating coaching and clinical skills to support neurodivergent team members to develop wellbeing profiles.

Inclusive Leadership

Duration - 4 x 1 day sessions or 8 x half day sessions.

Inclusive Leadership training focuses on developing what McDowell, Doyle & Kiselevaz (2023) describe as the 'first responder' skills of managers and leaders who supervise neurodivergent team members. Inspired by my own experiences as a neurodivergent employee and leader, the training covers important topics, such as:​​​

  • ​Neurodivergent Communication, Sensory Preferences and Executive Functioning Differences.

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing through an Intersectional Lens.

  • Reasonable Adjustments and the Limitations of Ableist Systems/Environments.​​

Bespoke leadership training can be designed.

"Bite-Sized Insights"
Sessions

Duration - 1 hour

My "Bite-Sized Insights" sessions are designed to be much shorter workshop style sessions which offer topic specific learning opportunities and introductions to key topics related to neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive workplaces.  

Topics include: ​

  • Introduction to the Senses,

  • Reasonable Adjustments,

  • Dismantling Autism Myths,

  • Enhancing Team Meetings Through Multi-Model Communication

Bespoke Training and Workshops

I can work with you to understand the growth edges your team and organisation have to develop bespoke training or workshops designed to support your services development, resilience and capacity to innovate. 

Practicalities:

  • All training can be delivered online or in person,

  • Training and workshops can be delivered, weekdays, evenings and some weekends,

  • Terms and Conditions for training and workshop bookings will be sent following initial discussions about organisational or individual needs.
