Neurodivergent-Affirming Supervision Prompts
A new downloadable tool for supervisors who want to centre safety, flexibility, and identity in supervision spaces.

In my years of supervising neurodivergent therapists, I've seen firsthand how often communication and processing differences have been misunderstood—or entirely unsupported—in supervision. Too often, supervision becomes a space shaped by urgency, formality, and performance, rather than one of care, curiosity, and trust.

That’s why I created this resource: to offer a starting point for more affirming conversations.

With over 30 sentences, these Neurodivergent-Affirming Supervision Prompts are designed to support supervisors and supervisees in co-creating spaces where people can show up fully—without masking, over-explaining, or shrinking themselves to fit a dominant mould.

Sentences cover: Starting the Relationship, Exploring Communication Preferences, Checking in on Support & Structure, Power, Privilege, and Positionality, Repair and Accountability and Affirming the Whole Person.

Whether you're a seasoned supervisor, a neurodivergent clinician looking to bring more intentionality into your support spaces, or someone newly stepping into leadership, these prompts can help you:
-
open up richer, more reciprocal conversations
-
reflect on power, privilege, and accessibility
-
honour differences in communication, sensory needs, and emotional processing
-
explore safety, feedback, creativity, and repair in supervision

It's an invitation to shift how we do supervision.
Available on a pay what you think it's worth basis, download the prompts and begin building supervision spaces that affirm the whole person.
